Christmas is a wonderful time of the year for most, but for some, it ends up being a sad and stressful season. Folks without friends, family, or money searching for joy. Long nights and shorter days seem to loom over spirits like a dark blanket. The cold air keeps us all indoors – unable to take a walk or enjoy the fresh air. Each holiday reminds us of lost loved ones and of blessings that seem to have become curses… Haunted and hungry for a blessing.

He revealed Himself so clearly, she had nowhere to turn. God seeks to show you WHO He is and WHAT He can do. In John 4:10, Jesus nearly says, ‘I asked you for water, but if you only knew who I am and what I want to give you, you would have asked me!’ She didn’t know so Jesus was revealing Himself as the Christ. “What makes Heaven great is not only what’s there, but also what’s not there!” In order to fully understand what God has planned (in Eternity), we’ve got to understand what God had first planned (in Eden). The way it will be – will be the way it way originally intended. Revelation 22:3 is clear: God will reverse the curse and restore creation back to its former glory. There was perfection in every way… Unity in nature between animals and man. Peaceful productivity. Beauty unhidden. Total harmony. But sin shattered that world into a million tiny pieces, and since that moment sin and its curse have caused pain for all of humanity.

It’s far better than life, home, friends, health, food, music, love, better than ANYTHING! Better than 1st kiss, a great steak, sex, pampered at spa, wealth, power, sportscar, or even the love of grandkids! The problem is, most people don’t really believe that it’s ‘far better’ and worth waiting for! 1 Sam 13 & Acts 13(v22) say that David was a man after God’s heart. He was possibly the most passionate believer who ever lived. This psalm is written during one of the toughest times of David’s life. He has been anointed as King and promised the throne, yet the reigning authorities are hunting him down like a wild animal. He is amazingly grateful in spite of his circumstances. Verses 3-4 really tell us the story of his heart. No one in the New Testament ever captured the love of our Lord better than the Apostle John.
